Once again this year, the selection of the winning projects was anything but simple. Thirty-two competitors for the two sections of Architecture and Interior Design, each of outstanding quality.
The Winners:
Architecture Section
1st place:
Environmental Rehabilitation of an abandoned calcarenite quarry on the island of Favignana, for the construction of a four star subterranean hotel – architects: Rosario Cusenza and Maria Salvo
2ND place:
Vigna la Corte Tourist Complex, Mirabella Eclano (AV) - Zitomori (architects: Maurizio Zito and Hikaru Mori)
3RD place:
Patio Hotel NH Hotel, Bergamo - DE8 (architect: Mauro Piantelli)
Interior Design Section
1st place:
YAS Marina Hotel, Abu Dhabi, UAE - DE8 (architect: Mauro Piantelli)
2ND place:
SPA CHAKRA, Doha, Qatar – architects: PEIA Associati EXEQUO with Majestic Resort, Galzignano Terme (PD) – architects: Mariaugusta Mainiero, Giancarlo Fantilli, Roberto Grio and Marco Montagliani
3RD place:
Armonia Wellness Centre, Santeremo in Colle (BA) - architect: Annamaria Terlizzi
